It has over 60 ethnic groups with 4 major divisions namely the Bantus, the Nilotics, the Sudanic and others. It has a literacy level of 68%.

Fertile with good soil. Agriculture accounts for 80% of the workforce.
 
POLITICS 
 The Rwanda-Brundi wars, subsequent Central African War and the terrorism of the Lord's Resistance Army have involved Uganda in military adventures in Congo, Sudan and Rwanda.
 
CHALLENGES FACING THE UGANDA NATION
1.) Unable to recover from the devastation of Amin and Obote's years.
2.) The Lord's Resistance Army spreads terror and has committed countless atrocities hence causing 800,000 people to live in camps with difficult conditions. Children are the most vulnerable victims of this tragedy.
3.) The growing challenges of other religions : The Muslims and animistic tribal practices.
